Day 1: NAIROBI – AMBOSELI

1400 hrs depart from Nairobi hotels. Afternoon drive across the Athi plains, home of the colourful Masai tribes, to Amboseli National park. Spend the next 2 nights at a lodge close to the park.

Day 2: AMBOSELI B,L,D

Full day game viewing in Amboseli park with picnic lunch at Observation hill. Amboseli is a relatively small yet fascinating park of lush water holes and swamps contrasting against flat open plains and acacia woodlands. Elephant and plains game abound as well as the big cats such as Lion, Leopard and Cheetah. With luck, the snow-capped peak of Mt Kilimanjaro will be visible, creating a spectacular backdrop to the peacefully grazing animals.

Day 3: TSAVO WEST B,L,D

Morning drive to Tsavo West park, stopping to see the Shaitani lava flow. Lunch at the lodge.

Afternoon game drive in Tsavo West. From Kilaguni, great expanses of open plains stretch in all

directions with Mount Kilimanjaro, the Chyulu hills, the Taita hills and Ngulia mountains on different horizons. The views from Roaring rocks and Poacher’s lookout are truly spectacular. A visit to Mzima Springs where crystal clear water bubbles up from underground may reveal hippo and crocodile, seen from an underwater viewing hide. Bird life is extraordinarily colourful and diverse with the Ngulia mountains hosting many migratory species at certain times of the year. Overnight at Kilaguni lodge.

Day 4: Mombasa

Morning drive to Mombasa where the tour ends (transfers to beach hotels are not included in tour
